Needlework Tours

My darling daughter, Heather, said today that I need 10 lifetimes to accomplish all I want to so.  I suppose she is right.

Stepping back, I was listening to a 'new to me' podcast titled Gone Stitchin'.  In episode 71 there was in interview with a lady who conducts worldwide tours.  She was so descriptive I could picture myself among the attendees.  Check out this site descriptions, especially the Tours!

Perhaps you can schedule some time in one or more of these faraway places.  Post a comment here if you have a related experience.

Snowflake Advancing Twill Runner

Here is a pattern I have been fond of for some time.  I made it in 10/2 perle cotton as a table runner.

Weaving Random Stripes

Here is a nifty Website for generating random stripes.  Of course, it can be used for other handwork applications such as knitting and crocheting.  I'm not much of a stripe person but napkins and tea towels can look nice.

I have been seeing on the FB 4-shaft weaving group a new idea, at least to me.  Weavers are warping a variegated warp then weaving a pattern over it.  The look keeps the eye moving around the cloth.  I haven't tried this yet, but soon.

So, look at www.biscuitsandjam.com for their stripe generator.  Good tool!
